Why don't you refresh yourself with a dip in the Lake Saint Fortunat in Flavignac or in the man-made lake (plan d'eau) at Les Ribières in Bussière-Galant (laid-out monitored beaches in July and August, free entry)?

There are swimming pools in Châlus and Les Cars, which are open in July and August.

Fishing

There are many well-stocked top category rivers and streams: the Dronne, the Tardoire, the Gorre, the Aixette and the Arthonnet, etc., as well as the man-made lake in Bussière-Galant.

These places for fishing are open to all people having a full fishing permit or a holiday permit.

A half-day or full day's fishing in man-made lakes is also possible : in the Lake Saint Fortunat in Flavignac, Le Ronlard in Les Cars, Lautrette and the La Ribière estate in Pageas.

Leaving Bussière-Galant (from the town centre, take the D901 to St-Yrieix-la-Perche for 2 km)
• The Sources of the Dronne Footpath (12 km - 3h)

Leaving Courbefy (from the town centre of Bussière-Galant, head towards St-Nicolas-Courbefy and 500 metres after the road that leads to the hamlet of Courbefy)
• The Damselfly Footpath (16 km - 4h) with an alternative (8 km - 2h)
• The Hills and Forests of Vieillecour and Courbefy (7 circuits for mountain-bikes)

Crossing hilly landscapes, walking offer many points of view: the panoramic site of Le Grand Puyconnieux in Dournazac, the "Fosses" in Pageas, Courbefy and Saumur at Les Cars, etc. The banks of the lakes and pools offer calm and relaxation in wonderfully green landscapes.
